Meet the Regional Coordinator, Carmen Carroll for South-West & Wales Region
Carmen has always been a creative person, who loved to sketch draw, and write poetry as a form of self-expression. Little did she know that her creative path would unfold over the years into a business. She had jobs as an Events Programmer with Kuumba Arts Project; an Afrikan Caribbean Arts centre. Then later on as Carnival Officer & Schools Co–ordinator with St Paul’s Carnival which attracts 100,000 people.
She realised that she was a pioneer and that materialised through the Soul2Sole brand; hosting Gospel club nights, to create a social space for young Christians, with live DJs & MCs. It was then realised the power of music as a tool that can touch the deepest parts of the human soul. Later on, she became we – and husband and wife team merged their passion and skills to reach the masses. They have been influential in changing preconceived ideas about gospel music through their many projects.
- For 9 years, the Soul2Sole sound system showcased a live stage at the St Paul’s Carnival with amazing Gospel Artists, DJ’s & MC’s.
- Soul2Sole radio show, on Ujima Radio 98FM, for about 9 years; playing Urban Gospel and Uplifting Soulful House. Syndicated their show on Prazyinradio.
- They still run their Soul2Sole DJ hire service, as well as her Marketing Company
So, since that time she has stepped back and moved into new ventures; one being becoming an Author, with her first book due to be released titled – Pathways to Healing – Overcoming Childhood Trauma and Adult Pain of Sibling Rivalry; where she shares her own story of experiencing and overcoming rejection.
