How to get DYCP funding from Arts Council England, 21st Sept 2022

The Developing Your Creative Practice fund from Arts Council England supports individuals who are cultural and creative practitioners and want to take time to focus on their creative development.

It’s an amazing opportunity for artists to get funding to improve their craft, research new ways of working, and create a more sustainable practice. If you are an artist, writer or creative, there is no reason you shouldn’t consider applying.

Applying for funding can be complicated, daunting and confusing, so it’s important that as artists, we collaborate, share knowledge and bring others up with us.

In Round 9, I submitted an application and was successful, being awarded almost the full amount. In writing my proposal, I received so much advice, support and guidance from others and I want to share that with anyone else that might be looking to submit an application.
